The Feminine and the Moon Realms

A few days ago we hosted a zoom call with my partner Magdalena Sartori about “The Feminine”. Magdalena is an architect, real estate developer, and entrepreneur behind The Assemblage NYC, co-working and hotel spaces created for a community of those activating their life purpose post-awakening to the reality that we are both material and spiritual beings.

Magdalena’s spiritual path started by the awakening of the Feminine following an entheogenic experience. She has since studied with the Aztec “abuelas” of Yucatan and is part of a Moon Dance Circle for 4 years. She also studied the ancient lineages of priestesses of Isis.

She has been hosting women circles for over 5 years and most recently leading initiations to reconnect women with their womb and moon cycles through her Yin Institute.

Why do we need to reconnect to the Feminine?

The Feminine is our intuitive, emotional side as opposed to our masculine rational and mind. This view of duality as Feminine and Masculine opposes mind and heart as the two driving forces behind human life itself. This duality exists at all the levels, “from the micro to the macro”. Many ancient cosmologies talk about this duality including ancient taoism that speaks about the Yin and the Yang. Now, we live in a society that over emphasizes the Yang and the so called masculine aspects of life. It is creating imbalance as we are not fully experiencing our totality.

We -both men and women- must recover our Yin and feminine qualities in order to come back into wholeness.

Why are Women leading the way, and why are Men needed?

Women have an innate connection to the Feminine and can lead the way into this reconnection to these realms by reclaiming of their own feminine aspects. We must bring back the grace of the Feminine into this reality. It starts by women doing that internal work of finding it in themselves, attuning to the emotional realms. By doing so, we also allow men to do their own exploration of the feminine.

However only with the presence of a strong masculine -not in its toxic form- can the Feminine fully blossom. Some men groups are doing this work, like Sacred Sons. We are also starting Masculine channel in our discord community.

Why are Women circles important?

At a spiritual level, consciousness has no gender however we are both spiritual and material beings. Women and Men have very different experiences of reality. Creating spaces for both Women and Men to be in their own energies is important for the healing of both. When women come together a certain magic happens, the veils are lifted. The healing of the feminine also includes the experience of sisterhood, moving from competition to collaboration. The ultimate goal of course is to all come together as a whole to harmonize duality.

What is the Moondance?

The Moondance is an ancient “Mexica"/ Aztec ritual where hundreds of women gather, on a specific Moon each year. The dance is lead by the “Abuelas” who share their wisdom and rituals. It includes 4 days and nights of fasting, and 2 temazcals per day, as an annual rite of purification. Ultimately it’s a prayer for the Earth, for the Mother and for women’s wombs. There are hundreds of Moon Dance circles happening around the world.

The Moondance doesn’t have much published information as it is a private spiritual work. Here is however a video of Magdalena with her Abuela Ursula Ketzalocelotl published with her approval.

Here is the Zoom call conversation, Magdalena also started in our discord community a Feminine channel (for Women only) and will be hosting weekly zoom circles every Wednesday from 18h to 19h30 CEST (Paris). Elsa Bustamante will coordinate and co-host the channel and the weekly circles.
